🍜Fukuoka Tenjin's famous spicy dipping noodles!

I found a noodle shop randomly on the map, and upon arrival, I realized it was a popular spot with a line. However, the turnover at the ramen shop is fast; we arrived around 6:30 PM and were seated in about 15 minutes.

This time, I had the "Ajitama Spicy Dipping Noodles" for 1,350 yen. Since I wasn't very hungry, I chose a smaller portion and was able to swap for a popular side of blanched vegetables! (You need to inform the staff verbally about the portion change.)

After ordering, the staff confirmed the spice level. I chose the normal level (marked with two chili pepper icons), and the staff warned me that it was quite spicy. In reality, I found it to be mildly spicy.

They emphasize “sauce you can eat.” The base made from a mix of pork, chicken, fish, and vegetables is really thick, so even the slippery, thick noodles, like those used for udon, can easily be coated with the sauce. The QQ texture of the noodles is truly a comfortable experience in the mouth!

Although the blanched vegetables were drizzled with a bit of meat juice, they had almost no flavor. However, next to the strong-flavored noodles, they were just perfect and provided a nice balance. It’s also a great way to enjoy vegetables in Japan, where they are relatively scarce!

Small portion of noodles, moderate spiciness.
The small portion of noodles can be exchanged for an additional topping or blanched vegetables.
There is bonito fish stock on the table. If you really feel it is too salty or too spicy, you can consider adding it to the dipping sauce.
There are condiments such as vinegar, garlic, and pepper.
When there are many people, you need to line up in this direction, and everyone must be present before we start distributing! Do not decompress ✖️
