I happened to be strolling nearby and, by noon, my stomach was growling. I took a look at the surrounding restaurants and discovered this store that is filled with history, so I decided to give it a try.
I heard that it used to be run by veterans of the anti-communist army, and it has been managed by three generations. The historical background is indeed quite interesting, but ultimately, a food establishment is judged by the food itself.
When I entered the store, there were quite a few people, but the place is spacious. After waiting for a while, I got a seat. The restaurant offers online ordering or handwritten orders, but I recommend sticking with the handwritten option. The online system isn't very user-friendly, and ordering online can be a bit cumbersome, taking some time to get done.
After placing my order, I had to pay first, and then after a while, my food arrived.
This time, I ordered wonton noodles. It felt pretty average, but for the price of 60 yuan, it is acceptable and not unpleasant.
