🎉 Delicious Affordable Teppanyaki 🎉
Recently, there have been more and more new dining establishments moving into the Dayou Special Zone, such as the chain ramen restaurant Mian Kuang Kuang and soup pasta, among others. Not long ago, I noticed this new teppanyaki restaurant, and it seems like there hasn't been any teppanyaki around Dayou Special Zone. This teppanyaki place adds more variety to the local food scene! 😆
At 5 PM during dinner time, the place was already packed. We were next in line for the seating, and to our surprise, the newly opened restaurant was bustling with diners, indicating the food must be quite good. 👍 After looking at the menu, I found the prices to be quite reasonable, plus the key point is that rice, soup, and drinks are all unlimited, which is very generous. Nowadays, many teppanyaki places require ordering rice separately. ☺️
Today, we ordered a couple's set, sirloin steak, and duck breast with mixed berries.
Couple's Set:
The portions were very generous. In addition to the two side dishes of stir-fried vegetables that come standard with the set, the meat portion in the couple's set was also increased. The teppanyaki sauce had a stronger flavor, which paired perfectly with the rice—definitely a rice killer! ‼️ The "rich chicken" dish was a whole crispy chicken leg, perfectly cooked with crispy skin and tender meat. A little bit of seasoning and salt made it really delicious. 😋 The salt and pepper basa fish was convenient to eat without any bones. The teppanyaki tofu was expertly pan-fried to a crispy finish, but be careful when eating it as the inside is very hot. 😆 You definitely have to order a half-cooked fried egg with your teppanyaki; breaking the yolk adds a delightful richness to the rice, making you want to eat another bowl! 🤤
Sirloin Steak:
The classic teppanyaki sauce paired very well with the sirloin chunks. One bite was juicy and tender—super delicious! 😋
Duck Breast with Mixed Berries:
I initially thought it would be a single piece of duck breast, cooked whole and then sliced. However, they directly sliced it and then cooked it, so much of the juices were lost. The fully cooked duck breast ended up being a bit tough, which was a slight disappointment. 🥲 But it was still flavorful! 🙌🏻
To summarize:
The flavors here are all excellent. 👍 This is a place I would visit again. People say that teppanyaki tastes better if the chef wraps their hands, and coincidentally, one of the chefs did just that! 😆 There are only two chefs in the restaurant, and they handle everything from billing to cooking to clearing the tables. Service might be a bit slow because of that, so I hope the restaurant can find some help soon to make things run more efficiently! Service would definitely improve. 🫡
