Bafang Yunji is a restaurant that I often ate at when I was a student. I used to eat 25 pot stickers in one meal😂, but I ate less as I grew up. First of all, the price has increased a lot. When I was a kid, I remember that one pot sticker only cost $4, and now it costs $6. I can’t even eat them. Secondly, as I grew up, I ate more diverse dishes and felt they weren’t as delicious.

I suddenly wanted to have a simple and unpretentious lunch today, and I thought of Bafang Yunji, which I haven’t eaten in a long time! This branch is located near Taipei Main Station and the Taiwan Museum. It does not have many seats. It can be said to be crowded at noon on weekdays. I guess they are probably office workers nearby.

Corn pot stickers $33 for 5 pieces ($6.6 for 1 piece)
Compared with the signature pot stickers, if you order other special flavor pot stickers, you have to wait longer. Corn seems to be particularly unpopular, so I waited for about 15 minutes to get it.
The skin is slightly browned, so you get a little bit of a burnt flavor when you eat it. You need to dip it in soy sauce and hot sauce. The filling is pork and corn. It has a decent taste. I think I will order the signature pot stickers next time.

Ancient style dry noodles $39
There are quite a lot of bean sprouts, and some chopped green onion. The sauce is salty and can stimulate appetite. However, it is a bit heavy on the taste. If you eat a lighter diet, you may find it a little salty.
I quite like the taste. It's simple and delicious. The small drawback is that the noodles are a bit soft.

Black soy milk $20
Actually, I can’t tell the difference between black soybean milk and ordinary soybean milk, but every time I come to Bafang Yunji, I order black soybean milk because it’s hard to get it outside. I recommend everyone to give it a try. It’s quite fragrant and delicious, but the drink It's a bit too sweet at the end

Overall, Bafang Yunji is a place where you can have a simple meal. I would not recommend it to foreign friends, but if you usually eat pot stickers, you will still think of this brand.

ps I’m personally very satisfied with today’s lunch. I had both dry noodles and pot stickers, and a glass of iced soy milk to go with it in the hot weather. The total cost was less than $100, and I was full. I felt like I matched the little genius.
