🍾 Unboxing the StarLux Airlines VIP Lounge! A high-end lounge exclusively for business class passengers at the airport, featuring all-you-can-eat Fu Hang Soy Milk and various meals! 🍾

Airlines such as EVA Air and Cathay Pacific have set up airport lounges for business class and premium members, allowing passengers to relax and dine before their flights. StarLux Airlines also has lounges at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of Taipei Taoyuan International Airport.

This time, we're unboxing the StarLux Airlines lounge located on the 4th floor of the departure hall in Terminal 1 at Taoyuan Airport.

StarLux is a relatively new airline among domestic carriers, and thus the lounge feels more "delicate and compact." I'm sure you'll understand what I mean once you see the photos below!

Although the space is compact, the self-service area offers a wide variety of meals and a fully stocked bar. The dining area is designed to be warm and comfortable, giving guests a feeling of home away from home.

Each guest entering the lounge can order one main course from the menu, with the most famous item being the breakfast in collaboration with "Fu Hang Soy Milk." There are also different options available for lunch and dinner.

Now, let's take a look at the dining options, atmosphere, service, and overall evaluation of the StarLux Airlines VIP lounge!

After exiting from Terminal 1, you can simply go straight up to see the VIP lounge floor. The STARLUX Airlines VIP lounge is conveniently located in the middle, and you can see the stylish STARLUX logo and the wall as you pass by the entrance.
STARLUX GALAXY Lounge A name that has a very cosmic feel to it.
After entering, you will hand your ticket to the counter, and someone will guide you to your seat.
The space is actually not large; the dining area has about 30 seats, including both single and double seats, making it very refined and compact.
One side against the wall is a semicircular single seat. The seat is not very large, and personal luggage may need to be placed on the floor.
On the other side is the buffet area, small but fully equipped with all essentials. The salad bar, cooked food, steamers, ice cream, a variety of drinks and alcoholic beverages are all available. The first impression is quite good!
After being seated, the staff will bring a menu, and each person can order one main dish. Since I arrived before 11:00, I could only order from the breakfast menu; the other regular meals are available only after 11:00! I believe the most popular item is probably the "Fu Hang Soy Milk Set." That was the first item I noticed too, but I found that most online reviews about Fu Hang Soy Milk in the airport lounge are not very good. Personally, I think foods like soy milk and scallion pancakes need to be made fresh on site to be delicious. What you get in the airport is definitely heated up from a breakfast shop, and it's clear that reheated scallion pancakes won’t taste very good 😂 So, this time I chose not to go for the Fu Hang Soy Milk Set, but rather the drink-lover's favorite, the "Mixed Oatmeal Porridge" set.
On the other side is the main course meal. Boston's Grandfather Pepper Cakes are limited in quantity each day and look very delicious!
The meal was served quickly. The mixed oatmeal porridge was cold; the staff kindly reminded us of this when we ordered, which was nice. It tasted like they mixed cereal with grains and soaked it in milk to make it thick. It wasn't too sweet, and I personally thought it was quite delicious! The apple and strawberry on the side were ordinary, and that one blueberry—what's up with that? Can't we have a few more? 😆
A bowl full of cereal, rich in nutrients.
A single seat is roughly the size of a small round table. The seating is also quite shallow. You can really feel that the Star Universe VIP Lounge is quite limited in space, but since these flights only appeared later, it's understandable that they had to carve out space from the existing area.
Go to the buffet area.
The cold dish area has a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits. The plate with beets and oranges (in the middle) looks the most special. Behind it is a plate of tomato and cheese.
Soft drink cooler
Wine Cabinet 🍷 Here you can mix your favorite drinks, drink as you please, it's not bad. There are gin, plum wine, white liquor, and so on.
There is also an Asahi draft beer machine nearby.
Ready-to-eat area I can only say it looks really quite ordinary There doesn't seem to be any particularly appetizing dishes 😝
The Bologna meat sauce stew with potatoes on the left is quite good to eat!
Cake pudding cabinet
Their hot tea and coffee area is quite exquisite, and they directly showcase whole boxes of Twinings tea bags. It shows a lot of sincerity.
Steamer area
Their family's cups are very cute. The cup body is small, and the bottom is quite slender. I had a cup of hot Americano, made from medium-dark roasted beans.
The drinks in the fridge are all common beverage brands from Taiwan, but since I can drink as much as I want, I won't be polite.
Later, they added a platter of cold dishes with lettuce. The lettuce used is relatively uncommon, so whether you like it or not is subjective. Personally, I think the Dutch Red Leaf Lettuce (the one with leaves turning from green to purple) is quite good.
A whole plate of lettuce.
Their tomato cheese disappointed me. I thought it would have a strong cheese flavor, but it looked like egg whites and tasted just like egg whites!! I want my rich cheese-flavored cheese back! Ahhh!
It is worth mentioning that their family has "Nyan Tails" ice cream! And there are a total of three flavors: * Fresh Milk from the Ranch * Seasonal Fruits * Imperial Oolong
This time, I tried the imperial concubine oolong flavor. The small ice cream box is just the right portion for one person, not too much.
With just one bite, you can feel the rich aroma of tea in your mouth. A subtle bittersweet fragrance spreads in your mouth. You can taste the dessert while also having a refreshing effect, resulting in a very delicious and unique texture.
Because the flight is at noon, there are fewer people in the VIP lounge. I've heard that it tends to get busier in the afternoon, so you might want to consider that. But basically, when you check in and check your luggage, they will ensure that there is a spot for you in the VIP lounge!
In the end, I still feel that the VIP lounge of Starlux Airlines is small but exquisite. The environment is beyond criticism; although the space is somewhat limited, its novelty and atmosphere are still adequate. As for the food, I think only the ice cream and the wine cabinet are worth mentioning. However, since there is still in-flight meal service after boarding, it’s also a smart choice not to fill up too much in the lounge (unless you want to fall asleep as soon as you get on the plane). The service was decent; they provided all the necessary service quality. This concludes the review of the Starlux Airlines VIP lounge at Taoyuan Airport~ Thank you all for watching! 👋
