Enjoy leisurely moments in a historical building with the beautiful golden backdrop of ginkgo season and outdoor seating!
Among Japanese chain cafes, Tully's is the one I visit the most. I find the overall value for the environment to be the highest, and they often launch seasonal drinks that never get boring.
When this branch in Japan's Daikanyama opened, food and coffee accounts on social media came to check-in and post about it. It perfectly blends into the retro atmosphere of the historical building with its old carriage path, and the sign is kept understated, not disrupting the streetscape.
The café has plenty of seating, but it’s popular and often full. Also, the restrooms are shared and located outside the store in the same building.
This time I ordered the mascarpone tiramisu latte, which I get every winter. It truly tastes like tiramisu to drink and is slightly sweet, so if needed, I suggest adjusting the sweetness further.
The outdoor seating is along the ginkgo avenue, which is breathtaking in autumn. Many nearby buildings have a lovely retro red brick style! However, the ginkgo smell outdoors is quite strong, so I recommend going outside for photos during the ginkgo festival, but it's better to enjoy your coffee indoors 😂.
