Dikson's Fooday Food Review #227 - Chiang Mai, Thailand Edition

This visit was to a well-known Instagrammable café in the Nimman area of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Since my hotel during this trip was close to the Nimman area, I wanted to check out a popular café nearby for breakfast and eat something special.

After a little online research, I found that this café is one of the well-known Instagram hotspots, attracting many people for photos.

Indeed, upon arrival, it was a white building. Besides being a café, it is also a hotel, with the café section resembling a restaurant attached to the hotel and a breakfast dining area.

The exterior looks quite beautiful, featuring a white-themed design both inside and out.

The menu offers more Western-style dishes, so if you are looking for authentic Thai breakfast, this might not be the place for you.

In addition to typical Western breakfast items, the display case at the counter also has many desserts.

The variety of food offered is quite extensive, primarily featuring toast or bread, giving off a very Western breakfast vibe.

The food is rather standard, serving more of a Western brunch feel. Many customers come specifically to buy coffee here.

If you're coming primarily for photo opportunities, I personally recommend this place. The interior design is very clean and flawless, with many corners perfect for taking pictures.

As a tourist, if you want to collect café spots in Chiang Mai, this place should be on your list!

⭐️ Food:
👉 Dessert
I ordered a lemon tart cake, and I found it quite good, and the cake itself was fluffy and solid!

👉 Croissant
I got a croissant stuffed with cheese and bacon, and it was very delicious! Compared to croissants from cafes in Taiwan, this one truly excels; plus, the portion was substantial!

Moreover, since prices in Chiang Mai are generally lower than in Taiwan, it was quite satisfying to indulge.

⭐️ Drinks:
Although this place is a Western brunch café, I couldn't resist ordering Thai milk tea after I saw it on the drinks menu!

Indeed, the Thai milk tea here was very sweet! Although it feels like a lot for the body, I have to say it was very enjoyable! Finally, I could have authentic Thai milk tea here!

⭐️ Atmosphere:
I arrived at around 10 AM, so the crowd wasn't too heavy, and since it was a weekday, there weren't many customers in the café.

The space inside is quite spacious, and the overall color scheme consistently follows a white theme.

From the dining tables to the chairs, everything is in a uniform white, giving it a stylish and elegant feel.

However, Thailand has a lot of flies, so even in such an elegant café, it’s hard to avoid them completely when dining. 🤣🤣🤣

Nonetheless, I found the overall atmosphere quite pleasant—it's like an Instagram café in the city where you can still enjoy a peaceful vibe.

⭐️ Service:
The staff can generally speak English, so communication is not a major concern. The menu has a wide range of choices, so as long as you can point out what you want, there shouldn't be any significant issues.

⭐️ Price:
As mentioned earlier, the cost of living in Chiang Mai is slightly lower than in Taiwan. I had a meal that included a bread, a dessert, and a cup of milk tea, totaling around 300 TWD.

Moreover, enjoying this in a higher-end Instagram café is a good experience at a relatively low price. Of course, comparing it to an authentic Thai breakfast, this café's prices are still a bit higher.

When comparing back to Taiwan, it’s definitely still quite cheap!

⭐️ Overall:
Chiang Mai isn't very large, and especially if you're staying in the Nimman area, high-end hotels are mostly clustered around similar locations.

There are really many cafés nearby. If you feel like visiting a uniquely styled white café, I highly recommend it. I initially searched online for famous cafés in the area, and this was one of them.

I encourage everyone to give it a try!
