🍽️ Hi, I'm TJMM! 🍙
🔖 Today’s dish is: Dako-Ding milkfish rice noodle soup 🐟
Hiding in an alley of the First Public Market in Yancheng District, this old and famous shop has a history of over sixty years and is a classic breakfast and brunch spot for many Kaohsiung residents.
The seating is along the roadside of the alley, so be careful of passing scooters while dining.
Today, I ordered three items:
⭐️ Fish skin soup | 💰55 TWD
Three large pieces of fish skin wrapped in fish paste, paired with fresh fish broth. The soup is sweet and delicious, and the fish skin is chewy, making you want to keep going for more.
However, there are occasionally small bones, so remember to take your time while eating!
⭐️ Pan-fried fish belly | 💰80 TWD
Although it's not freshly fried, it still retains its aroma and fatty goodness when served.
Just be aware that the fish bones have not been specially processed, so pay extra attention while eating.
⭐️ Braised pork rice | 💰40 TWD
I originally thought it would be small pieces of hand-sliced pork belly, but to my surprise, it was a giant chunk of pork belly! What a delight (laughs).
Eating it together with fish skin and fish belly is also great!
📝 TJMM says:
I actually wanted to order fish intestines, but by the time I arrived at 8:00 AM, they were sold out. 😭
Next time, I definitely need to come earlier!
