A must-try in Busan, besides honey cakes and seafood, is pork soup rice! This place was recommended by many, and my experience was very satisfying. What's special here is that they have two types: Miryang style and Busan style soup rice 🤎

(Note: The back door of this place looks very similar to the front door, so don’t make the same mistake I did and go in the wrong way! 😂) At the entrance, there’s a machine where you can take a number. You can see clearly how many groups are ahead of you. Even if you’re a foreigner, there’s no need to worry because the staff here are very friendly and enthusiastic. I arrived around 11:20 on a weekday (Tuesday) and surprisingly, I could walk right in! After my meal, there were many people waiting outside, so if you don’t want to wait, you can avoid peak dining times.

Once seated, you’ll also get some side dishes. Just a reminder: the green chili on the table looks like it won’t be spicy, but in reality, it is! 🥵😱😵

𓌉𓇋 Hangjeong-suyuk and Ganjang Guksu ₩ 16,000 (Pork neck slices with dipping noodles/about NT$385) – My favorite!!! It has surpassed my love for pork soup rice >< The pork has been charcoal-grilled, and each slice has plenty of flavor; the texture is slightly crunchy, and it just gets more delicious the more you eat 😋 The dipping noodles beside it are cold, which is a real treat in this hot weather.

𓌉𓇋 Rich Eom Yong-baek Pork Soup ₩ 13,000 (Miryang premium pork soup rice/about NT$310) – There are two types of Busan soup rice, Miryang and Busan style, which simply differ in the richness of the broth. The Miryang style I ordered is made with pig bones and has a deeper, richer broth. In addition to lots of chives, it includes internal organs, pig stomach, and pig intestines, so there are tons of ingredients in one bowl! If you're like my friend and are afraid of this rich pork flavor, I highly recommend adding the shrimp paste on the table, which makes the overall flavor very delicious~

🇰🇷 Sun Haru 韓國料理 🇰🇵 Korean Cuisines

We have dined in numerous Korean restaurants in many countries, this one serves food not up to foodies’ expectations on a national level — we’d try to avoid revisiting until new chefs are hired — meanwhile, the atmosphere with cute murals surrounding customers are lovely though; nonetheless, generally speaking, food is not yet up to standards. Those festive decorations and Christmas trees let them earn those two (2) stars.

This place is generally crowded and needs a reservation, and I can see why. The star attraction is the whole chicken hot pot, and it's really great. The chicken is tender and juicy, our toddler kept asking for more. While waiting for it to cook, they also had small side dishes to whet our appetites and the picked radish was especially popular. The basket of clams we got was also pretty fresh and really adds to the broth. We took the broth home and cooked it further in noodles as well, nothing went to waste! Great place to visit, I highly recommend it.

ZAN 🍥 CHEE 🇰🇷 韓國餐廳

ZAN 🍥 CHEE 🇰🇷 Korean Restaurant has been being with over 50 Korean side dishes (ban chan) for customers — these ample varieties do broaden dining experience and foreigners’ knowledge about Korean gastronomic culture. There are currently five (5) branches, and this one in Olympian City is the only one on Kowloon side in Hong Kong. Personally speaking, the foods both surpassed the standards and urbanely reached our expectations.
