❤️ The most famous restaurant in Donghe Township, which has been around for 60 years, offers free restrooms and can be used as a rest stop along Route 11.
Each article will include actual dining photos, even if it's just a picture of a drink, to avoid some users pretending to have dined without meal photos.

📍 Located on Route 11 in Donghe Township, Taitung, it offers free restrooms and has outdoor tables and chairs for dining outside.
🚗 There are a few parking spaces outside the store, but they are limited; usually, on weekends, customers have to park on the sides of Route 11.
🏍️ Motorcycles are typically parked right in front of the store.
💬 The Donghe Bun in Taitung has always been my halfway rest stop while driving. I can buy a bun to replenish my energy and take a short break. However, in recent years, the price of the meat buns has been increasing, making it more like a trip for memories (just like going to Xihu for lamb, Wanluan for pig's trotters, or Tamsui for A-gei).
The free restroom provided outside is very clean. On weekends, there are many customers that may require waiting in line to order, but the wait time is typically not too long.
At the moment, I would recommend the bamboo shoot buns and taro buns. The store also offers small cups of red tea, soy milk, and coffee, with staff being very quick in serving. They will inform you of which flavor of meat/vegetable bun you ordered, generally determined by the red dot on top of the bun.
