Pepper cakes in the north each have their own merits. This one is called Baojian, and its strength lies in the crust.
Located at the entrance of Keelung Aisi Road Night Market, compared to some famous pepper cake shops, there is usually less need to wait in line.
The outer skin is quite crispy, sprinkled with plenty of white sesame seeds, and the meat filling is very tight. There is soup hidden between the skin and the filling - this cannot be called gravy blanched in oil, but more like salty meat. The soup has an indescribable feeling of disunity.
Personally, I don’t think you need to pursue “explosion”. In terms of skin alone, it may be my favorite type.
