This time, it's just a 3-minute walk from Naiku-mae Station! The bustling Oharaimachi nearby is a beautiful stone-paved street about 800 meters long that runs alongside the Isuzugawa River, starting from Uji Bridge. The townscape features unique Ise-style architecture, including gabled roofs, irimoya (hip-and-gable) roofs, and tsuma-iri (entrance) styles. I visited "Honey Shop Shojiro," which sells domestically produced honey and a variety of products and sweets made abundantly with honey, located in this Oharaimachi!

The popular items in Ise Oharaimachi, [Hani Remo] and [Hani Pote], seem to be exclusively sold at "Shojiro's Shop in Ise Oharaimachi." I couldn't resist trying them!

Menu I Ordered:
[Hani Pote]
Luxuriously coated sweet potato fries (Daigaku Imo) with Shojiro's homemade honey! The exterior was crispy while the inside was soft and moist, making it very delicious. Since its release, Hani Pote has exceeded a cumulative total of 130,000 units (as of November 2018) and continues to evolve and get even tastier.

Additionally, the honey lemonade [Hani Remo] and parfaits, both made with generous amounts of honey, are also very popular. It is said that [Hani Remo] uses honey that pairs perfectly with domestically produced lemons, which are in limited supply.

Furthermore, in-store experiences such as making honey candles and lip balm using high-quality beeswax are available by reservation. They also offer a variety of rare honey that is exclusively available here, making it perfect for souvenirs!

Once again, I'm completely full!
