# Keelung
Today, I visited a seafood restaurant in the city of Keelung. It's not too far from Wai'anshan, making it a perfect spot to dine after snorkeling.
The restaurant is tucked away in a small alley and is very unassuming. However, once you enter, it’s like a hidden gem. The dining space is quite large with many tables, and the environment is simple yet clean and comfortable.
We ordered quite a variety of dishes, and honestly, everything was delicious. I would highly recommend each dish:
🌟 The red grouper sashimi was incredibly fresh, with a texture completely different from thawed ones. The meat was delicate and tender.
🌟 The curry satay beef stir-fry surprised me; I initially thought it was sliced beef, but it turned out to be beef cubes that were super tender and melted in your mouth. The kids mixed it with the curry sauce and devoured two bowls of rice!
🌟 The oyster fritters also amazed me. Each one was super plump, with a thin layer of batter perfectly fried, making them incredibly fresh.
🌟 The poached small squid came with no unnecessary seasoning; they only dared to poach them for customers because they were fresh enough. The texture was chewy with no fishy smell, and when dipped in a little garlic sauce, you could taste the original sweetness.
🌟 The ginger strips with large intestines differed from the usual recipe that only includes ginger and intestines. Here, they added celery, carrots, and onions, providing a richer texture. It was not overly sour—just enough flavor to be enjoyable.
Even though there are many tables inside, I recommend making a reservation before going. The seafood prices are clearly marked, so there's no need to gasp at the bill after ordering. Additionally, the prohibition of alcohol in the restaurant is great; it prevents loud drunken antics.
Overall, I highly recommend this place. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and everything is incredibly fresh. I definitely suggest friends visiting Keelung to give it a try!
