🥤 Chiayi West District ▫️ Around the Art Museum
🥤 Claimed to be the must-try popular hand-shaken drink
This is another shop recommended by a local homestay owner, conveniently located on the way to catch the train. You can get a cup to take on the train to quench your thirst. I heard the grass jelly is amazing and definitely worth a try. Since we are not picky eaters, we decided to give it a go too. 🖤

This small shop is unexpectedly very popular (perhaps because it is the only location without any branches). The service is quick; you only need to wait in line for a short while before it’s your turn. After some hesitation, I decided to order both drinks recommended by the shop, one of which is the pot-cooked fresh milk tea marked with a ✦ symbol. However, when I got home and did some research, I discovered that more people recommend the oolong milk. 🫠
But still, the pot-cooked fresh milk tea is quite good! You can taste the rich aroma of the tea, and the grass jelly is softer compared to what I’ve had before. Since the grass jelly itself is slightly sweet, ordering it without sugar was just right for us; otherwise, even a small amount of sugar would probably make it too sweet.
In terms of hand-shaken drinks, this local shop is definitely worth supporting and recommending. Personally, I think if you're in Chiayi, 🉑 you should buy a cup to taste. Next time, I would also be willing to return to get a cup of oolong grass jelly milk, looking forward to tasting a flavor different from the fresh milk tea. ✨
