Hidden in the alleys behind Songyan, Burger Out is no stranger to me. Every visit reinvigorates my taste buds, and this time, the "Garlic Mayonnaise" burger has completely won me over to a flavor I originally kept my distance from.
Garlic Mayonnaise
First, the fried chicken is freshly fried, golden and crispy, with a skin that's just the right amount of crunch without being harsh. Inside, the chicken is juicy and tender, each bite bursting with meaty goodness and oiliness that brings happiness 🍗.
The fresh and crisp lettuce at the bottom not only provides a refreshing crunch but also acts as a structural support, ensuring that the whole burger holds together until the last bite, with all the ingredients staying in their place 🥬.
The true soul of the burger lies in the rich yet not overwhelming garlic flavor. As someone who usually doesn’t eat mayonnaise (I even scrape it off sandwiches), I initially approached this with a 'let's give it a try' attitude, but I ended up completely changing my mind. The garlic mayonnaise here is refreshing and not heavy; it’s likely blended in an excellent proportion. Combined with whole garlic cloves roasted slowly in olive oil, it brings out a distinctly rich aroma—intense yet not overpowering, fragrant yet not spicy, making you unable to stop at just one bite 🧄. It also includes roasted mixed mushrooms, adding a gentle, forest-like nuance. Personally, I don't eat mayonnaise and wouldn't go for a fried chicken burger, but this one is really worth it.. I recommend it to everyone; it’s truly a satisfying burger that leaves you with a smile at the corner of your mouth 🍔.
