"The Osaka Ohsho - Zuoying Global Store" is located inside the Zuoying High-Speed Rail Station, making it a great place to eat before or after taking the train.
The staff are quite enthusiastic and friendly. You can order by scanning a QR code, and the staff will bring you hot tea. There seems to be a 10% service charge because of this, which is acceptable, though I didn’t expect a location similar to a food street to charge for service.
The Dotonbori Fried Noodles are $155 (plus a $16 service charge). They are stir-fried noodles with a taste reminiscent of okonomiyaki, topped with an egg, similar to an omelet, and drizzled with mayonnaise. I went in with no expectations, but it was surprisingly good! The egg is of the creamy type, although I personally prefer it a bit more cooked. However, it was still well-cooked and didn’t have any raw egg whites.
The noodles are quite chewy and have a nice savory flavor, along with a hint of barbecue aroma. The only downside is that they were a bit too wet. There was a lot of cabbage in the noodles, and a small amount of wood ear mushrooms, which made me quite happy since it added some greens.
Overall, if I want to grab a bite to eat at the high-speed rail station next time, I would still consider eating at this place.
