The "Meat Hand Meat Sandwich" at Taichung's Zhongxiao Night Market seems quite famous based on Google reviews, and it feels like one of the more popular snacks in the night market. I happened to pass by and decided to give it a try.
The outer bread is cooked quite crispy, which is a plus. The amount of meat inside is average—slightly on the lesser side—not quite satisfying enough. Additionally, green peppers are added to balance the richness, making the overall flavor more harmonious. As for the seasoning, it has a salty and savory taste, and the braising sauce seeps into the meat, preventing it from being too dry. However, having tasted better and more generously portioned meat sandwiches, my rating is a bit lower than it could be, though this one is still pretty tasty.
The price is moderate—not cheap, but not so expensive that you feel it's not worth it. Overall, it's a decent meat sandwich that doesn't disappoint, but it’s not sensational either. If you already enjoy meat sandwiches, you might want to give it a try.
