Located on Guangdong Road in Taitung City, this provincial noodle shop is visited a bit late, and most of the popular items are sold out, leaving only sesame sauce noodles and beef tripe, accompanied by a bowl of clear soup, giving a sense of serendipity that "even leftovers can be tasty."
When the sesame sauce noodles were served, the sauce was evenly coating the noodles, and the aroma was quite standard, lacking a particularly strong sesame fragrance. After mixing, the noodles were slightly soft, and the blending with the sauce was acceptable, but the overall flavor was somewhat thin and lacking in complexity, making the taste feel one-dimensional toward the end. The portion of beef tripe was moderate, tender and flavorful due to the braising, but since the seasoning was on the light side, it didn't create a particularly exciting contrast with the sesame noodles.
Overall, this provincial noodle shop leans toward the ordinary in terms of flavor, with no particularly outstanding highlights. Perhaps it is better to visit when the shop first opens, when the dishes are complete and the flavors are at their best, to truly appreciate the true capabilities of this long-established eatery.
