This time at the Yongkang Carrefour's "Italian Restaurant," I previously thought it was just an ordinary restaurant. Since it's been a while since I last ate there, I wanted to experience it again, but the result was still not very good.
First, let's talk about the food. The bread was quite good; it was soft inside and okay for dipping in soup. However, the bowl of creamy mushroom soup really lacked flavor and could have been richer. As for the main dish, I ordered risotto which was supposed to be baked; instead, it was just plain risotto without any baking, which is a basic mistake that is totally unacceptable. The sautéed duck breast pasta was tolerable, the meat was okay, but the sauce was basically flavorless, making the entire dish dry and boring. In the end, I had to rely on Tabasco to bring some flavor back.
Now for the serving speed. There were only two tables of customers at the time, a total of six people. It wasn’t a full house. We ordered at 5:09 PM, but our food didn't arrive until 5:30 PM, which was already a bit slow. Then they messed up my risotto, and after making it again, I finally got my main dish at 5:45 PM, meaning I sat there for nearly 40 minutes without eating anything. This is really too exaggerated; there were issues with serving speed and such a high error rate.
I initially wanted to give one star, but since the staff noticed we had been waiting too long and proactively compensated us with two drinks, I thought this showed some consideration for customer experience, so I ultimately decided to give two stars.
