The "Hong Gong Gong Vietnamese Pho Specialty Store" on Shui Jiao She Road in Tainan was recently recommended by YouTuber She Wan, so I went to try it out out of curiosity. The result? I fell in love after just one bite, especially recommending their lemongrass chicken pho and rare beef pho.

The lemongrass chicken in the pho is deep-fried, with a crispy skin and a rich aroma. Paired with the tangy and savory broth, the overall flavor is refreshing and appetizing, making it hard to stop at just one bite. The unique feature of the rare beef pho is similar to how Tainan beef soup is served: the raw slices of beef are briefly cooked in the boiling broth, maintaining a tender and slightly rare texture that feels like eating a Vietnamese version of Tainan beef soup. The broth is clear and carries the sweetness of the beef, which shows sincere effort.

As for the side dishes, I particularly recommend the fried egg salad. The egg is fried to a crisp and paired with a sweet and sour sauce, giving it a rich layered texture that feels refreshing and appetizing. In Tainan's hot weather, these tangy side dishes are perfect.

The dining atmosphere of this place is simple, without excessive decoration, appearing plain and unpretentious. But to be honest, the focus is on the food itself. If you love Vietnamese cuisine, this place is definitely worth a try!
