The beef noodle shop "You Guqi Beef Noodles" in Kaohsiung's Lingya District really amazed me.

I ordered the spicy beef trio, and it’s absolutely worth recommending! The beef is meaty yet super tender, melting in your mouth; the beef tendons are as big as jelly, full of gelatin, and incredibly satisfying; the beef tripe is also well-marinated, with the perfect bite. The broth is rich and has a fragrant spiciness that wakes you up with just one sip.

Additionally, their exclusive spicy dry noodles are also really good. The spiciness is on the higher side, but the sesame sauce is incredibly fragrant and balances out the heat; the two flavors together are super complementary. The beef intestines inside are unexpectedly tender.

The style of the shop leans towards bold flavors, which I personally really enjoy, plus the owner is very polite. It’s definitely worth keeping in your collection.
