#Open During Chinese New Year
Open from Little New Year's Eve (1/27) to the fourth day of the Lunar New Year (2/1).
To get straight to the point: The soybean milk chicken is definitely a must-try signature dish! You won't be able to stop eating it! 🤤🤤🤤
Since childhood, I have been to Tienliao Moon World countless times, particularly at the Chicken Castle, which can be considered a top-tier battleground for chicken restaurants—there are countless eateries serving chicken dishes. The one I visited today, “Daqun Chicken Cuisine,” was recommended by a friend.
“Daqun Chicken Cuisine” is quite spacious, with a parking lot available, and spans two floors with a considerable number of seats.
Business is extremely good; we dined on the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, and when I called to reserve three weeks in advance, it was almost fully booked. Upon arrival, it was packed with people, and even at 2 PM, there were diners just arriving. The popularity is quite remarkable.
Although it was busy, the staff were still quite polite, which is a plus; however, they do not accept credit cards—only cash, which is a bit inconvenient.
Soybean Milk Chicken $800
It looked a bit burnt on the outside, and I initially thought it would be tough to eat, but to my surprise, it was incredibly crispy, yet the chicken inside was still very tender and not dry at all. It was truly delicious—it's almost as if you haven’t been here if you haven’t tried the soybean milk chicken.
Plum Chicken $800
Although the menu indicates "(dry)," the sauce is actually quite moist and clings well to the chicken. It’s tangy and appetizing, and it’s fantastic to pair the sauce with white rice or noodles.
Mushroom Chicken Soup $850
The soup was delicious but a bit salty; if you need more, you can ask the staff for a refill. The mushrooms were tasty as well, but I found the chicken a bit drier compared to the soybean milk chicken and plum chicken, so I didn’t want to eat more than a couple of pieces and just enjoyed the soup.
Pineapple Shrimp Balls $350
The batter for the shrimp balls and the mayonnaise used here are a bit different from what you usually have. I, personally, didn’t like it much; although it’s still decent, it’s not a must-order.
Szechuan-style Lamb $450
The lamb and the stir-fried vegetables were good, and it pairs well with white rice, allowing you to eat a lot. The only downside is that the portion is really small and not worth the price.
Crispy Pumpkin Pastry $250
There were a total of 10 pieces, and the outer layer is fried with taro shreds, making it super crispy. As someone who dislikes taro, I didn’t even realize it was there—amazing! The pumpkin filling is very sweet; this dish is also recommended!
Water Lily / Dragon Beard Vegetable Market Price
Both of these vegetables have a fairly large portion and taste pretty good. I would be willing to order them again next time.
Fried Rice $70 (photo shows two portions)
The soy sauce flavor is quite aromatic, and the egg fragrance comes through nicely. It's slightly salty and has a strong flavor but is still very tasty.
Garlic Noodle Soup $70 (photo shows two portions)
This kind of dish never goes out of style and is perfect for filling up.
Overall, we were 11 adults and 1 child, and we ordered three chicken dishes, along with five vegetable plates, four portions of fried rice, two portions of noodle soup, and three bowls of white rice, totaling $4625. On average, it was less than $400 per person. The meal was above average and we felt very full, making it quite a good deal!
