This hotpot place has been open for a while, and I've often passed by but never came in (it used to be another hotpot restaurant). I saw some good reviews, so I decided to give it a try.
The pork shoulder I ordered was quite thick but the texture was a bit too firm for my liking. The chicken thigh was very tender and quite good; you can make your own chicken soup.
The self-serve bar is small but has a good variety. There is also white rice, braised pork rice, noodles, and quite a few types of frozen desserts. The most unique thing is the popcorn! Some small hotpot places used to have it, but it’s quite rare now.
I must especially mention that the chicken wings are delicious! They have the feel of traditional market chicken wings; the skin is slightly thick but very crispy, and the pepper flavor is strong. For $60, the two wings are quite large, and I would want to return just for the wings 😂
Overall, it was not bad, but you need to be selective with the meat. The areas for vegetables, sauces, and main dishes are a bit small, so it can get congested when the place is busy. Just for your reference.
