❤️ If you are wandering at the end of the Shulin Night Market, you absolutely cannot miss the ham fried rice from the Fried Rice Army. Although parking is a challenge, this bowl of fried rice is definitely worth spending some time looking for a parking space. Overall rating: 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
🚗 This is Bo'ai Street in Shulin, and the traffic is very congested. If you ride a bike, you can park next to the vendors, but it's not possible to make a quick stop if you're driving (at least I wouldn’t dare...). I suggest parking nearby.
📍 Although this is on Banlin Road of the Shulin Night Market, the address is in the Banqiao District, and parking is very difficult. 🚗 If you drive, I recommend parking at the Yongqi Parking Lot at the head of the Shulin Night Market (NT$20 for one hour), and it might take about 7-8 minutes (around 600 meters) to walk over. 🏍️ I saw quite a few people temporarily parking scooters on the sidewalk, but it’s better to park in the scooter parking spaces across the street, or you can also park inside Minping Street, which is quite flat.
💬 This Fried Rice Army is located at the tail end of the night market, and the sign is very eye-catching. I only realized while writing this food review that it is the main store? The crowd keeps coming and going; even during non-meal times, many people are waiting for the owner to cook on the spot. The seating inside the store isn’t many, with only about 4-5 tables, and many tables have only one or two people dining, so you might have to wait for customers at those tables to finish before getting a spot. Nevertheless, being able to enjoy this large portion of fried rice is definitely worth it.
