Located on Wen Street in DouNan Township, Yunlin, "Wanjii Noodle Shop" is a local small eatery that lacks fame and is not a must-visit spot for tourists. The braised pork rice here is quite basic, without any particularly impressive qualities, but it does get the job done in filling you up. The blanched vegetables are also fairly ordinary; although cooked well, the portion is a bit small, leaving you feeling like you’ve barely had a few bites before it’s gone.
The braised snacks, however, are quite good and reasonably priced. Whether it’s tofu or pig ears, they pair nicely with chili, making for a pleasing taste. Although the shop isn’t very crowded, there are local customers coming and going, which leads me to believe that this restaurant serves as a habitual dining spot for locals. While it isn’t particularly remarkable, it also doesn’t disappoint.
Overall, if you’re a tourist, I would not recommend coming here to eat, but if you live nearby, stopping by occasionally for a meal isn’t a bad choice.
