This local drink shop in Tai O is really special. It is located at the entrance of the old street in Tai O, right where the bridge is. On one side, there's a modern hand-shaken drink shop, and on the other side, there are grandmothers selling fish and bargaining with tourists. At first glance, it seems like a clash of worlds, but here it feels completely natural.
In addition to drinks, the menu also offers popsicles and ice cream. However, since Hong Kong's lemon black tea is simply outstanding, it once again caught my attention. This time, I ordered the duck poop fragrant lemon black tea. According to the staff, duck poop fragrant is a type of tea leaf with a unique flavor; it’s named for its shape, which resembles that of duck foot wood. It has a sweet floral honey taste, and as you sip it, there’s a lingering sweetness at the back end. It's a relatively rare variety in Taiwan, and quite distinctive in flavor.
The staff members are very friendly and patient in their explanations, allowing you to take your time in ordering. Overall, I think the entire consumer experience was quite pleasant!
