I went to a dream-like all-you-can-eat crab restaurant 🦀.

It's called Kani Gin, located in Kyoto's Kawaramachi area, and it's within walking distance from Kyoto Kawaramachi Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line and Gion-Shijo and Sanjo Stations on the Keihan Line 🚃.

On the 5th floor of a building, there were semi-private table seats ✨.

Although the last order was 70 minutes and the total time limit was 100 minutes, I thought it was perfect for me since I eat quite quickly ✨.

I chose the all-you-can-eat M-size snow crab course 🦀 for 8,800 yen, which was discounted to 6,908 yen (including tax).
I added unlimited soft drinks for an additional 880 yen ✨.

I decided to stick with oolong tea for my drink ✨.

First, I started with 6 halves of boiled snow crab 🦀 and spiky snow crab 🦀.

Everything else was ordered via a QR code 📱.

I peeled and ate the boiled crab thoroughly 🦀. The crab was sweet, and I kept eating it without dipping it in anything 🦀. The happiness of being able to eat 1.5 crabs at once was incredible 🦀. I couldn't really tell the difference between the snow crab and spiky snow crab, but I enjoyed eating them in quick bites 🦀. I also ordered two more pieces of snow crab, so I indulged in a lot of crab 🦀.

There were plenty of other menu items, especially a wide selection of sushi, which I ordered as the main dish 🍣. I ordered:

  • Sea urchin hand roll
  • Salmon roe hand roll
  • Crab miso hand roll
  • Negitoro hand roll
  • Salmon nigiri
  • Scallop nigiri
  • Simmered eel nigiri
  • Hamachi nigiri
  • Eel nigiri
  • Assorted platter of 5 (salmon, squid, squid tentacles, hamachi, egg)

The sea urchin hand roll was particularly generous and delicious; I ate it multiple times 🥰. The ingredients were large, and I thought the quality was high even for an all-you-can-eat setting 🍣.

I also ordered a variety of other side dishes ✨.

Seafood yukke 🐟 with salmon and hamachi mixed with a raw egg yolk was incredibly rich and delicious when combined 🥚.

Tempura assortment ✨ included:

  • Crab 🦀
  • Fish cake
  • Shiitake mushrooms
  • Lotus root
  • Shishito peppers 🌶️

I was delighted to have crab here too 🦀. The fish cake was large and very satisfying and delicious ✨.

Crab cream croquette 🦀 was small and easy to eat, and it was tasty 🦀. While I couldn't really detect much crab flavor, the cream was rich and delicious 🦀.

Eel and egg rice bowl 🍚 had eel, a soft-boiled egg, and shredded omelet on top of the rice 🥚. The eel was large, and when combined with the soft-boiled egg, it was rich and delicious ✨.

Crab meat udon 🦀 had light broth with shredded crab meat mixed in 🦀. The udon was substantial, and the broth was light and refreshing, making it delicious 🦀.

Red miso soup made from fish scraps had a rich flavor and was delicious 🐟.

Spicy Chanja was piquant and paired well with rice, making it delicious 🔥.

Rare cheesecake with chocolate sauce 🧀🍨 was fluffy, paired with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce, resulting in a light and delicious dessert 🍫.

I ordered until just 40 seconds before the last call and was very satisfied ✨.

Even on a weekday night, it was quite crowded, so I think making a reservation is necessary‼️

I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to indulge in lots of crab and sushi 🦀🍣.
