To celebrate my birthday today, I went to Mei Fook Dry Aged Steakhouse, which was on my pocket list. The space in the store is quite spacious, the seats are quite spaced apart, and the dining environment is good.
The main meal we ordered was a 28oz bone-in dry rib eye aged 55 days. There is an event in the store where you can get a lobster for free if you order two orders from the salad bar. But we really didn’t love the salad bar, so we just gave up.
The overall feeling after eating it is: the steak is really great, whether it is cooked or grilled, it is perfect, and I am very satisfied with the meal. But the service was somehow sluggish. I had the impression that there were three different waiters throughout the meal, and there seemed to be no handover. For example, a waiter just asked us if we wanted to order dessert, and we said no. Immediately another person came to ask again... This kind of omission.
At this price ($5,000 per person), the service should be better.
