Regardless of whether it has received the Michelin Bib Gourmand recommendation, this place has always been one of my family's go-to duck rice shops. With reasonable prices and being favored by locals for over 40 years, it stands out among the many duck rice contenders in the harbor city. The deliciousness is enough to make it shine ❤️
Due to peak dining hours, there are often large crowds whether it's a weekday or a weekend. Usually, I either call for takeout or use a delivery service; I generally avoid dining in unless absolutely necessary (or if I'm prepared to wait a long time). After all, even though having air conditioning indoors is a big plus, it’s hard to avoid sweating while waiting in line. Luckily, this Friday night, the restaurant wasn't full.
What I love most about this place is the variety it offers, satisfying different cravings at different times. If I want rice, I can choose their signature duck rice 👍🏻. If I want noodles, they even have rice noodles, oil noodles, taro dumplings, and vermicelli. I can even specify whether I want duck legs or other cuts in the duck plate. If I want to boost my meal, I can swap the plain soup for ginseng soup for that day. It’s basically an endless array of choices for infinite enjoyment 🤤
I usually order a main dish, either noodles or rice, paired with vegetables 🥬 and sometimes add an egg 🥚. This way, I can eat a balanced meal that is also very filling. Now, let's just look at the pictures and tell the story! ✨
