TakeOut Burger&Cafe 延吉店
TakeOut Burger & Cafe Yanji branch is located on Yanji Street in the Da’an District of Taipei City, with the nearest MRT station being the National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Station, about a 6-minute walk from exit 3. The original name of the store was TakeOut Curry Shop, which specialized in curry. It underwent renovations and changed its name and menu at the end of September 2024, and it now focuses primarily on selling burgers.
The shop is predominantly decorated in shades of gray and white, accented with some wooden decorations. The entire place isn't very large; upon entering, you can see the counter and cooking area at the back. The dining area has about 20 seats with tables for four, single bar tables, and wall seating. There are two shop cats lounging on the sofa in front of the counter, where you can sit, but we chose a table for four instead. 🤣
Ordering is done verbally at the counter, and you can pay with cash or various other payment methods. Receipts do not include service charges.
The dish I ordered was the daily limited 10 servings of spiced beef curry rice for $290. The curry sauce has a more Japanese flavor, very rich in taste, and the beef inside is extremely tender. Besides the beef, there are potatoes, broccoli, zucchini, and pickles, making for a great combination of flavors. The downside is that the portion is a bit small, and the sauce is just the right amount, so it might not be enough for those with a big appetite. 🥲
As for the burgers, they’re quite thick and the meat is also generously sized. They feel substantial, but they are a bit on the unexciting side, similar to other burger places and didn’t quite hit the spot for me. (It’s also possible that I’m just not that fond of burgers. 🤣)
Overall, the dining experience was good, and the atmosphere in the shop is very comfortable. Plus, there are cute shop cats to pet, making it a must-visit for curry lovers who adore cats! (?)
