Dining Time: 2024/12/14
I don't know what to eat in Puli around 7 PM on a chilly evening, so I wanted to have a bowl of hot soup. That's when I found this ramen place!
Puli Yokohama Ramen just moved to this location at the end of October this year. Besides parking spaces out front, there is also a free parking lot shared with 18°C nearby, so diners don't have to worry about parking. Once you enter, there's a huge waiting area (remember to take a number). By the time I arrived, the peak time was over, and only three groups were ahead of us before we got seated. Gradually, more people came in to dine while we were eating.
The restaurant uses QR codes for ordering. After placing your order, you can pay at the counter or use Line Pay online directly. The staff also specifically reminded us to pay before they will serve the food!
While waiting for the food, there’s a drink machine where you can enjoy free drinks. Additionally, I noticed a table with a stock of bone broth; if the soup base is too salty, you can dilute it yourself.
This time, we ordered:
🍜 Bamboo shoot ramen 💰300
🍜 Cilantro ramen (mildly spicy) 💰260
🍜 Golden kimchi 💰70
🍜 Bamboo shoot ramen
Thinking that Puli is the home of bamboo shoots, I knew I had to try this special ramen. The broth is pork bone flavor, paired with slices of chashu, a soft-boiled egg, nori, and grilled bamboo shoots. The noodles are on the firmer side, but I could still accept it. When I actually ate it, it felt like bamboo shoots were bamboo shoots, and ramen was ramen—both just served together.
🍜 Cilantro ramen (mildly spicy)
As a cilantro fan, I immediately chose this bowl! When it arrived and I saw it piled high with cilantro, my eyes lit up (laughs). The broth has a spicy pork flavor, accompanied by chashu slices, a soft-boiled egg, nori, and plenty of cilantro. The overall soup isn’t too spicy, and once the cilantro's aroma melds in, you just keep wanting to take another bite!
🍜 Golden kimchi
It has a mild spiciness and makes a delicious side dish!
In summary, if you find yourself in Puli and don’t know what to eat, give Yokohama Ramen a try!
