NUDAKE Haus Dosan

This popular Korean coffee shop is probably well-known by everyone. When it first became popular, the line could stretch all the way to the street. At that time, I was reluctant to stand in line, but finally, on this day, I could just walk in and find a place to sit! Thankfully, their quality still seems quite good. Generally, everything is more self-serve; once you enter the café, you can see various desserts displayed before you, and you can choose your favorite dessert like it’s a showcase 🍮 before heading to the counter to order your drink 🥤.

Today we ordered the signature item I’ve always wanted to try – the black croissant filled with matcha. When you cut into it, the matcha flows out. It has a rich flavor, and although the croissant 🥐 is very crispy, I feel like it’s quite high in calories. Plus, when paired with coffee, it doesn't feel so overwhelming. The taste of the coffee is just regular coffee, nothing particularly stunning, but it is reasonably strong and aromatic! However, I still think the portion size is a little large if you’re eating a whole croissant and coffee alone! We also ordered another dessert, which has a cheesecake 🧀 base, and the top layer is made with burnt caramel. It resembles caramel crème brulée but replaces the bottom with cheesecake, adding a creamy texture that I personally find quite interesting!

Generally speaking, everyone should know that the upstairs of this café is filled with clothing and decorations, making it a rather unique spot. The overall tech vibe is quite strong as well. If you usually enjoy trying something fresh, I think it’s worth visiting for afternoon tea. For me, it’s more about experiencing something new; when I miss croissant matcha, I might come back for another one. You can assess your own time and decide whether to come and give it a try!
