This time is the second visit!
When I came the first time, it was a whole free day before the winter break and I thought of walking out from the dormitory to explore nearby shops for brunch, and found this place (I must admit, I was really attracted by its unique name...).
It was fine until I looked it up, and I was shocked?! There were loads of reviews on Google Maps, all positive; many people mentioned long wait times and the absence of reservation services. I didn’t believe it at first, so I decided to come and try it out the next day.
This place is also tucked away at the end of a small alley. I wandered around the area for a while before finding it. Basically, when you get there, just look for a line of people waiting... that day, because the shop cat was sick, it opened at 12:00. I arrived around 11:20 and was the fifth group of customers.
(I actually thought the shop would open at 11:00 like the last time, but it turned out I was lucky to walk in right when it opened.)
The interior space is small; although there are two floors, there are only six tables. If you’re not in the first six groups, you’ll have to wait!
Overall, the decoration is very American: the music, various limited edition retro figurines and decorations all have a strong American vibe, consistently throughout. It’s a style I’ve never seen before.
This second visit was with friends, on a Friday around 10:40 AM, and there was only one group ahead of us, so we didn’t have to wait long.

First dish: Philly Beef Cheesesteak Sandwich $270
The reviews all said that the portion size here is large and you’ll feel very full. Just how much is “a lot”? I’m not sure how others with bigger appetites see it, but I felt really stuffed after finishing; my pants were tight...
What impressed me a lot was the seasoning of the sandwich. It looked like salty cheese with beef, but when I bit into it, it was surprisingly light, which really suited my taste! The flavors of the beef and cheese were highlighted.
The accompanying potato wedges were also particularly delicious, sprinkled with some cheese crumbs, and perfectly seasoned. The only downside is that I felt I gained a bit of weight after eating the whole thing...
Second dish: Pulled Pork Cheesesteak Sandwich $270
Like my first experience, the portion doesn’t seem huge at a glance, but it’s very filling… The filling of the sandwich was quite substantial, and the seasoning was just right—not too salty at all! The side was just as high quality!
This is a place I would love to keep coming back to and recommend to more friends! After all, the price for brunch isn’t very expensive, and combined with the atmosphere and decor of the shop, I think it offers great value!
