Title: Student Review - What to Eat

This time, I want to introduce Lao Zhongyang Bakery, which is a 4-minute walk from the Xiaobitan MRT station.

As I passed by, I noticed the owner chatting warmly with customers. It seemed like they were all regulars who often returned, which made me stop and take a look.

I was also fortunate to have Google Maps to check the reviews. One review mentioned that their red bean pastry is like a salted egg yolk pastry, so I decided to order one to try.

Dish:
Red Bean Pastry - $22

Thoughts:
Sure enough, it was just as the review described – very much like a salted egg yolk pastry. Unfortunately, there was no salted egg! Otherwise, I would have bought more!

Size: Smaller than a palm
The outer crust is crispy like a cookie and somewhat dry.
However, the advantage is that it isn’t greasy or heavy on the palate, and the red bean filling is generous and substantial.

If you like a crunchy texture, you can come and buy this. I will buy it again next time and would be willing to try other flavors.

About 1 minute, and it’s still warm when you get it!
