In our town, I heard that Onigiri Ka Sukisugite's second store is opening in Nihonbashi, so I went to the pre-opening event 🍙
It's a hidden gem with the greatest variety of onigiri in Osaka 🍙
You can choose three types of fillings you like, and there’s a great-value "Onisuki Plate" that comes with small sides and miso soup, which is very popular ✨
There are over 30 types of fillings to choose from ✨
With your choice of toppings, there are actually over 100 combinations available‼️
It has counter-only seating, and you can see a refrigerator filled with onigiri ingredients, which all looked delicious 🍙
This is the Nihonbashi store's exclusive offering:
Onisuki Premium 🍙 1800
The onigiri had a wide variety to choose from, and I opted to have two fillings for one onigiri as an Onisuki topping 🍙
Ikura (salmon roe) × shake (salmon) 🐟
Ebi (shrimp) × mentaiko mayo 🦐
Tarako (pollock roe) × shirasu (baby sardines) 🐟
I chose those 🍙
You can also choose different types of rice, like vinegared rice or sesame oil rice 🍙
The combinations are endless.
Ikura × shake 🐟
The pop of the ikura combined with the flaky texture of the shake went well with the fluffy rice and was delicious 🍙
Ebi × mentaiko mayo 🦐
The plump shrimp coated in a generous amount of spicy mentaiko mayo was rich and delicious 🍙
Tarako × shirasu 🐟
The combination of the popping tarako and the soft shirasu was incredibly tasty 🐟
There was plenty of filling in each onigiri, and each one was substantial and delicious 🍙
Miso Soup
It had a rich dashi flavor that was comforting and tasty 🥣
For the selectable main dish, I chose:
Chicken Nanban 🐔
It was a large piece of chicken that was crispy on the outside with a sweet and savory sauce, paired with tartar sauce—it was rich and delicious 🐔
Four side dishes:
Spam Katsu 🐷
Spam wrapped in egg and fried to a crisp; it was delicious 🐷
Golden Squid 🦑
Tender squid coated with fish roe, sticky and delicious 🦑
Rolled Omelette (ikura) 🥚
The rolled omelette soaked in dashi, combined with the popping ikura, was extremely tasty 🥚
Pickles
There were two types, both delicious ✨
They plan to create a limited menu once a month from now on 🍙
I thought it was a nice touch that you could chat with the staff while watching them make onigiri at the counter 🍙
They also serve alcohol, so you can enjoy it both during the day and night 🍻
Of course, they accept large orders for delivery or takeout with advance reservations 💁🏻♀️
I think this is a recommended place to take a break in Nihonbashi 🍙
I'm also curious about the new menu items coming out, so I’d like to visit again 🍙
