Located in Raohe Night Market, near the middle section, "Crab Girl" is a cute little stall that specializes in fresh milk egg cakes. The stall is decorated in a healing style, complemented by hand-drawn illustrations, and focuses on freshly baked, creatively filled egg cakes.
This time, I tasted two varieties: the "Creamy Caramel Cake."
The outer layer is freshly baked golden egg cake, with a filling of Lotus caramel crisp and cream. The flavor is decent; the cake skin is aromatic and slightly crispy, with a mildly chewy interior. The texture is good, but the overall pairing feels a bit monotonous, and the caramel flavor isn't prominent. After finishing, I thought it was okay but not particularly impressive.
"OREO" performed better, with a filling of cream mixed with crushed OREO cookies. The sweetness is well-balanced, and the warm cake skin provides a smooth and crisp contrast. Compared to the caramel cake, this one is more enjoyable, especially for OREO lovers, with a richer flavor and more memorable appeal!
The production process is transparent, the staff is friendly, and the wait time isn't too long. The egg cakes are freshly baked, and with each bite, a slight milky warmth wafts out.
Overall, "Crab Girl" is a refreshing and consistently flavorful little snack stall in Raohe Night Market, specializing in dessert egg cakes. If you're looking for a not-too-greasy dessert to end your meal, this is a great choice!
