👃 After visiting Luodong Night Market many times, I finally tried "Tasty Stinky Tofu." I ordered the special cheese flavor (large size $90). The stinky tofu was quite crispy; the outer layer was crunchy but not abrasive, while the inside retained some tenderness, not dry or flat. Overall, it had a nice layered flavor.
🧀 The cheese powder and cheese sauce provided a double boost. The sauce was poured directly with a large spoon on-site, rich in dairy flavor but not overly salty. There was a generous portion of pickled vegetables on top, tangy and crunchy, which paired perfectly with the hot fried snacks, and it was not greasy overall.
🥢 Although it was a fried item, it didn't feel as oily as I expected, and the portion wasn't too large, making it suitable as a snack. There were many people lining up, but they used a ticket system, so it's recommended to draw a number as soon as you arrive and approach to order when your number is called.
😋 This was my first time eating stinky tofu in stick form, and it was surprisingly delicious, with a thoughtful combination of sauces. Next time, I would like to try the Korean or honey mustard flavors!
