The new Lalaport in Nangang was very popular in the days following its opening, and the news reported extensively on it. The entire shopping mall was extremely crowded, making it easy to imagine how terrifying it would be during meal times. Moreover, even though it was the opening, it was clear that they were not fully prepared, as many stores, including eateries, were not open.
I actually visited a few days after the opening. After taking a walk around, it was just about meal time, and the crowd was enormous. Waiting in line took an incredibly long time, so I chose a restaurant with fewer people waiting.
I ordered the beef tendon noodles set, which included a portion of curry fish balls and a small cup of black tea.
First of all, the curry fish balls were quite good; they were bouncy and not too spicy, so that was okay. As for the black tea, it was just ordinary black tea, but the portion was extremely small—basically just one sip.
The restaurant primarily promotes Hong Kong-style noodles, but the taste did not feel Hong Kong-style at all; the sauce did not really coat the noodles. It felt quite disappointing.
