【Foodholic Nako @ Kyoto, Japan】
“The Soymilk Donut (豆乳甜甜圈) is quite something” is a popular eatery located in Kyoto's Nishiki Market. Even though there were lines, we received our donuts quickly since they are made using automated machines!
In addition to the signature soymilk donuts, they also sell soymilk ice cream, but we had already eaten takoyaki in the market, so we just bought a donut to try.
We ordered the classic plain soymilk donut for ¥400. I think there were around 10 pieces (I was so excited to eat that I forgot to take a picture of the final product...). The donuts are freshly fried, small enough to eat in one bite, cute in appearance, and very soft inside. The main flavor is the aroma of the flour. Since they are small, we finished the whole bag in about a minute; one person could easily eat a whole bag!
