Previously, the first time I ate there was beside the road at Erling Market. Recently, I had a craving for donuts and immediately thought of this place. After checking the address, I found out that the shop has moved to a location very close to Jinfuy Food Street (next to PX Mart/Jinyutang). The business hours are until six o'clock, but around four o'clock, the variety on the shelf was already quite limited. The prices range from 25 to 45 yuan, with not only the basic items but also filled varieties and refreshing flavors available.
In the afternoon, if you want some dessert, it’s affordable and quite satisfying.
I chose three items that are more approachable, but later realized I bought too many… two are enough to satisfy. I think the original flavor is comparatively crunchier; the exterior is only coated with sugar but is very tasty. A minor downside is that the donuts are all placed on the counter after being fried; while they aren’t super crunchy, you can feel that the texture has a hard shell, giving it a better mouthfeel than traditional donuts. The taro and red bean ones are round and plump, with a big chunk of filling inside. Personally, I really recommend the taro one; the taro fragrance is very strong and pairs well with the outer sugar, making it not too sweet. The red bean is a bit sweeter, which can be a bit heavy after finishing 🫘.
