The Italian restaurant, Yang Cheng, is located inside the Great Unity Department Store in Kaohsiung. The nearest MRT station is Central Park Station, Exit 2, which is about a 2-minute walk away. The restaurant entrance is on Wufu Second Road, but going through the entrance on the first floor only leads to a waiting area; you need to climb stairs to reach the dining seats on the second floor. If you take the escalator from the Great Unity Department Store, you can access a secondary entrance to the second floor through many winding paths.

There are plenty of seats available. When I visited this afternoon, there happened to be a private event, and I waited about 20 minutes before being allowed to place my order. The staff brought the menu, and ordering was done via a QR code. After dining, you can settle the bill using cash or credit card. The invoice can be issued as needed, and a service fee is included.

Several years ago, there was a Yang Cheng near my home, and I often went there to enjoy their Wild Mushroom Pasta. However, after they closed, I hadn't had the chance to eat there again. It was a rare opportunity to visit Kaohsiung and see Yang Cheng again, so I had to try it out.

Here's my feedback on the meal below:
The service speed during this visit was very quick (there weren't many customers in the afternoon). I also used the Ocard App to get two free dishes (great deal!). The staff had a good attitude, and the prices weren't too high. I recommend it.

Apple Duck Breast with Japanese-style Sauce $158 (This one is complimentary) The duck breast is not dry, and the Japanese-style sauce has a strong flavor. The apples are freshly sliced apples. Underneath, there is a bit of lettuce and alfalfa sprouts. It's quite a nice dish overall.

Grilled Deep-Sea Squid $168 This is also a complimentary item (member birthday gift) Great value! The squid is very large It’s grilled just right, not too dry, but the downside is it lacks seasoning.

The cream of mushroom soup in the set has some mushrooms floating in it, and the taste is quite good.

Lumberjack Wild Mushroom Pasta $188 A nostalgic flavor! However, it doesn't look very appealing. Garlic stir-fried wild mushrooms paired with olive oil stir-fried noodles. It's a bit oily and the garlic flavor is a bit strong.

Genoa Chicken Breast Pasta $278 (+$38 for a bigger size) There are many pieces of chicken breast, and it's pan-fried so it's not too dry. The pesto sauce is flavorful; it's a very good dish.
