Located on Green Island, "Deer Cabin" is a unique little shop with a deer at the entrance. Although it looks healthy and clean, it still seems a bit pitiful in such an environment. The shop offers food such as flying fish jerky and small crabs, which have a salty flavor similar to most souvenir shops. Additionally, the bird's nest (seaweed jelly) here has a milder taste compared to other shops. Although it is not very sweet, it feels healthier. So, I bought three bottles here; I've had quite a bit of bird's nest during my days on Green Island... A bottle costs 40 NT, and three are on special for 100 NT, which is the same price as all the small shops on Green Island, indicating a standardized price.
It’s worth mentioning that the shop owner is very friendly and knows how to entertain customers, often offering us samples, making it hard to resist buying something. That said, the food quality is average. If you’re interested in these local specialties, you can come here to try, but don’t set your expectations too high.
