This shop adopts a combination business model, featuring a café as well as a menu-less indigenous cuisine. The area inside is very spacious and showcases many works by Hualien artists. The owner herself is very friendly and welcoming.
The ingredients used in the dishes are very fresh, and the cooking methods are not too greasy or overly salty, primarily maintaining the original flavors of the food. With a touch of sour and spicy seasonings, the dishes go really well with rice; I personally ate 3 bowls by myself! 😂
However, the shop's opening hours are not very fixed, so it's recommended to follow their Facebook or Instagram page to avoid a wasted trip.
