Everyone should have that kind of restaurant list where you can’t go wrong bringing friends, right? 📝 "Song" is one of my choices!

"Song" has branches in Taipei and Taichung, and the online reviews are quite high! After eating there once, I decided I definitely had to return. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s also a beautiful one! Plus, you really don’t have to worry about the appearance overshadowing its content. 🤣 The dishes all have a certain level of quality.

The best part is that their staff are all exceptionally competent. Their service and recommendations made me wonder if your company uses a different approach to train the staff... and they all have high looks too. 🙀 In short, you absolutely can’t go wrong bringing friends here!

(To clarify, the minimum spend per person is 400 NTD.)

First of all, I have to say that their main dishes are HUGE! Just looking at the plates that come to the table, you can tell they're so big you could bury your whole face in one and still have space, so eating the pasta can actually fill you up pretty well.

If you want to try some other snacks, you can share them by adding them to your meal package. Here are the items we ordered for three people👇🏻

· French-style Beef Liver Mushroom Poached Egg Pasta NT$320
A pasta dish loaded with mushrooms; it feels like there are almost more mushrooms than noodles (mushroom lovers will be very satisfied). The poached egg served alongside makes you want to break it open immediately, and the flat noodles complement it well.

· Gray-Scaled Pinot White Wine Clam Pasta NT$390
The menu mentions a subtle spicy fragrance, and since my friend doesn’t eat spicy food, we checked with the server to confirm it could be made non-spicy. The overall fragrance is very fresh and appetizing, and there’s a generous amount of clams.

· Bolognese Red Sauce Seasonal Vegetable Pasta, Chef’s Soup + Crispy Fried Chicken with French Guava Lemon Sauce NT$649
(The cost of the dish is 320 NTD, with the add-on package price being 329 NTD.)
You can imagine the flavor of the red sauce, but the roasted vegetables on the side really add to the experience.

Soup: It feels like they added one whole pumpkin to the pumpkin soup! Besides being a delicate dish, there are also some pumpkin cubes inside to enhance the texture.

Guava Fried Chicken: Their fried chicken is incredibly delicious!!! Crispy but the batter isn’t heavy. I tried guava dipping sauce once before and didn’t think it matched well (but it’s very unique), but my friend wanted to try it, so we ordered it, and she thought it was quite good.

If you’re celebrating a birthday, you can tell the staff, and they will gift you a tiramisu and a Polaroid photo.

If you want to enjoy a happy meal, I also recommend their hand-pulled Mexican confit pork with crispy tortillas and their cocktail series (I previously had a drink called "The Letter from the Dusty Old Mansion"); the name is beautiful, and the flavor is mesmerizing. 😻
