The Homophone Restaurant +1
From the outside, it looks like a small shop, but inside there are actually a lot of seats, and they are quite comfortable. Dining alone is also very relaxed. The dishes are self-service and self-recycling. One small downside is that friends who drive may need to look for parking nearby, but those on scooters don’t have to worry about this issue.
Winter is coming, and there are more than a dozen types of porridge to choose from, all of which are quite unique, like scrambled egg beef mushroom porridge, ginger pork liver porridge, four-herb meat slice porridge, and explosive ginger sesame chicken porridge, among others. Just reading the names of the dishes gives a warm feeling. Of course, there are also common options like century egg lean meat porridge and chicken minced porridge.
In addition, there are hot pot and home-style noodle series among various choices, which is very friendly for those who have trouble making decisions. 😻
However, to be honest, what I actually had today was their mixed noodle series...😝 I saw the century egg noodles and ordered them without hesitation.
✐ Garlic Century Egg Noodle $120
· For century egg noodles, the price is above average, but the portion is quite filling.
The amount of meat sauce and century eggs was generous, so there’s no issue of not having enough toppings for the noodles. I highly recommend adding a few spoonfuls of the shop's chili oil for extra flavor (which has a noticeable spiciness here). The noodles were cooked just right, and overall I quite liked it. The shop also asks if you'd like some scallion clear soup, which is perfect for cleansing the palate after the meal!
When the weather gets a bit colder, I definitely want to try the sesame oil chicken dishes. ❄️
