The Old Spaghetti Factory

I saw photos of this restaurant online and thought it looked quite nice~
I figured that since they specialize in pasta 🍝, they should be able to make great noodles!
So my family happily rushed over to eat…
But the staff seemed to have this attitude… that we, as Asians, weren’t really welcome..
Although they still took our order and made introductions, they didn’t seem very friendly…
It gave a bad first impression of the restaurant…

Not long after, the waiter brought us a loaf of warm bread 🍞
It was freshly baked, actually quite fragrant, and they were generous with the butter.
We ordered three dishes in total:
❤️ Spaghetti with meatballs
This is the most classic pasta dish and should be a basic one that's done really well. This restaurant made the meatballs great… not too hard, not too dry! And they were quite flavorful! However, the pasta itself didn’t have much taste~ the sauce was completely soaked up… overall, it felt a bit dull!
❤️ Seafood linguine marinara
This dish had a slightly stronger flavor… unfortunately, the seafood didn’t taste fresh or sweet! It just added a little bit of flavor… and there weren’t many ingredients… mostly just eating noodles~
❤️ Onion soup
This dish is also hard to describe… it was off-the-charts salty… no one could finish it! In the end, we could only dip the bread in it and force ourselves to eat a bit… otherwise, it felt like eating pickles… it was just too salty…

Overall, I wouldn't particularly recommend it… at least I personally find it hard to step into this restaurant again! However, I saw many locals enjoying their meals… also sipping some wine 🍷, so if anyone decides to try it, feel free to share if you find any other delicious dishes!
