This Starbucks is located next to the Guting MRT station, at the busy intersection of Heping East-West Road and Roosevelt Road, making its geographical position very good.
The store layout is V-shaped, with a long rectangular area on the left that includes a counter and seating area. The counter has a refrigerated display full of bread, pastries, and savory snacks. On the right side is a triangular seating area with many tables and chairs. The store has very little aisle space aside from the tables and chairs, and it was fully packed with no seats available by 9 AM on a Friday.
Today, I just came to get a takeaway latte (which they refer to here as "nàtí" 🤣). I usually drink convenience store coffee, but there was a credit card promotion for half-price large drinks plus a discount for using an eco-friendly cup, so the large latte only costs $58, which is a great deal 👍🏻. The payment method is contactless card swiping, and the staff did not ask if I had a membership card while ordering, so I received an extra paper receipt.
As for the flavor of the coffee, compared to the convenience store coffee I usually drink, it has a stronger coffee flavor with less noticeable milk, and overall it tends to be a bit more bitter (nutritional information: caffeine⬆️ calories⬇️ sugar⬆️). Considering the price, it’s fine to enjoy it occasionally.
