Afternoon Tea2 pplNT$209

📍Summary: If I were to dine here again, I think I would still come back, but the probability of choosing this place while passing by might be slightly lower, mainly because there are too many other options nearby that might be a bit more affordable.

☕️This time I came mainly to enjoy afternoon tea!
(So the average spending is just for reference; I personally think an average of $500 per person is more appropriate!)

Looking at the rich menu in the store, they actually have both main dishes and snacks, but when coming here with friends, we mainly wanted to relax, rest, and chat. So we ordered some small dishes to pair with tea, simply spending a few minutes of our break time.

Although it is a restaurant in a bookstore, the environment is not very quiet (too many people). The tea and small dishes can be enjoyed slowly while chatting. It feels like a suitable place to enjoy meals, but in terms of price... I think there are other better options nearby. Indeed, we chose this place because other restaurants were full or had long waiting times. For me, this place is not my top choice.

P.S. If you want a quieter spot, you might consider the other restaurant next door, but it is a bit more expensive 💸

I saw others ordering pancakes, which I've heard are good and look delicious, but this time my friend wanted something savory 🤷. Next time, I’d like to try the main dishes and pancakes 👀.

👇I will leave the details of this meal below!

Mentaiko Takoyaki $220 When we initially ordered this dish, we talked with the staff for quite a while. Mainly, the staff specifically reminded us, "This takoyaki has a different texture from the usual." We were really curious about what was so different that it needed a special reminder. If it were the authentic Japanese crispy exterior and soft filling, I would actually be happier. In the end, the staff didn't know how to respond, they only reminded us it was different but couldn't explain what the takoyaki tasted like or its texture😅 (It seems I encountered a rookie staff member again). Later, another staff member came to the rescue and resolved our inner confusion. (The final clarification was that the entire takoyaki is soft, the skin is soft, and the filling is soft. The staff just wanted to convey that it’s different from the takoyaki commonly found at night markets or street stalls.)
Rose Raspberry Fruit Tea $160 I was quite surprised that the tea didn't have a filter! You won't drink any dregs, but... I actually think it doesn't look very appealing 😅 I know that it contains rose tea and some dried fruits, but since I don't know what else is added, it has a bit of a carrot color, and I actually think it looks a lot like the dried vegetable packet from instant noodles... The tea is mild, and you can faintly feel the cleansing power of the rose👌
All items for this afternoon tea.
Takoyaki is not bad; it has two small pieces of octopus inside. However, the texture is not to my liking. (Currently, my top choice is still Japanese takoyaki.)
The second piece of octopus (inside) Each one definitely has two pieces that you can eat. 👌
It really does look a bit like a dried vegetable pack for instant noodles 😅… But it's really fruit tea! The flavor is definitely there!
Business hours and small sign~
In the menu section, many people order the pancakes on the right! They also look really good!
The menu page for the cod roe octopus balls I ordered this time. I'm also very interested in that fried octopus.
Rose Raspberry Fruit Tea Menu Page I think that iced fruit tea sounds pretty good too 🤔
You can take a look at the main course menu while you're at it~ Unfortunately, we are already full, so we didn't get to eat this time 🥹
Of course, there are other drinks too!
The storefront is very eye-catching, but you have to enter the bookstore to see it!
The indoor space has a high ceiling, and the drinks bar area is very spacious!
