Located in Nanzhong, Hsinchu, the Reindeer Seaview is a café themed around the ocean view. From its blue and white exterior to the expansive fishing port scenery outside the window, the overall atmosphere gives a relaxing feel as if one is in a vacation town.
This time, we ordered several signature desserts and drinks:
Fruit Mille-Feuille ($230): Layers of pastry filled with fresh cream and fruit, with a moderate sweetness, and the sour-sweet fruit enhances the overall freshness.
Grape Roll (Earl Grey Fresh Cream) ($230): The grapes are delicious, and the Earl Grey fresh cream is smooth without being greasy.
Pudding ($100): It has a creamy and smooth texture, with a rich caramel aroma that is not bitter, paired with fresh cream adds bonus points.
Latte (Hot) ($150): The milk foam is delicate, and the coffee is rich and fragrant, perfect for those who enjoy a smooth texture.
Peach Berry Tea (Hot) ($150): The sweet and sour flavor is very appealing, suitable for fruit tea lovers.
The dining space in the store is very spacious, and the view on the second floor is even better. However, the wind in Hsinchu was a bit strong that day, making the outdoor area not suitable for long stays. Nonetheless, sitting inside still allows for the natural light coming in through the windows. This place is also a pet-friendly restaurant.
Overall, Reindeer Seaview is a great place to relax on a weekend afternoon, and it only operates on holidays. Whether it’s the desserts or the dining environment, one can feel the owner's attention to detail in their management. If you want to experience a leisurely ocean-view afternoon tea, this is a good choice.
