🍝 A stylish Italian pasta restaurant with a light industrial vibe
After watching the Korean show "Black and White Chef," I was inspired by the various Italian dishes featured. So without even making a reservation, I headed straight there to see if there was a table available. 🏃🏻➡️🏃🏻♀️
Initially, I intended to visit a well-known trail café in Kaohsiung ☕️, but with a wait of over an hour, I decided against it and changed course to this place on my shortlist located near Xingujiang. 🍝
One of the advantages of this restaurant is that you can swap your pasta. Being a fan of wide noodles, this was very appealing to me. That day, I also ordered the recommended "Fireworks Woman" with wide noodles, plus a set meal 🈶 which included a drink, cream soup, bread, and dessert.
The "Fireworks Woman" here was different from the versions I've had before. It was not overly rich; instead, it had a bold yet refreshing flavor. Overall, it was decent but not outstanding. My partner ordered the risotto, which was also lacking in firmness. We upgraded the dessert to tiramisu, but it similarly fell short of expectations. Indeed, I shouldn't have been impulsive after watching the show; I realized I tend to set my expectations too high for every dish. Surprisingly, the most satisfying parts of the meal were the pre-meal cream soup and the bread. 🥖
The service and atmosphere of this restaurant were quite good, and the second floor had enough space for group dining. However, the food didn't inspire much desire for a return visit in the near future. I might consider coming back only if a friend suggests it. 🥹
